Your Holiness,

With grateful hearts, we followed the moments of your election, as Bishop of Rome and Pope, at the service of the Universal Catholic Church.  In the name of the Society of Marie Reparatrice, an international congregation with Ignatian spirituality, I wish to assure you of our filial communion and our prayer, that the Holy Spirit may accompany you to be a sign of the goodness and mercy of Jesus for all, especially the poorest.

As Sisters of Marie Reparatrice, we feel close to the calls you addressed to the Church and to all people of good will, in your homily during the inaugural Mass of your Pontificate.  Our vocation of Reparation with Mary calls us to manifest the tenderness of the heart of God and to work to repair the wounds inflicted on the women and men of our time and on creation.  During the coming month of May we will celebrate our XXIV General Chapter with the theme: “Called to enter into the kenosis of Jesus, with Mary, creation and all humanity.”

With respect, we wish to express a desire.  During your Pontificate, we would be happy that you encourage religious to follow Christ, in a consecrated, humble and evangelical life, close to the poor.  We would also be grateful that you encourage all members of the Church, to speak of the religious vocation as a possible choice of life for the young today.

Receive, Holy Father, the assurance of my profound and religious respect, of my devotion for the Church in a spirit of wholehearted communion.
