SMR VOLUNTEER PROJECT TO PERU 2018

From July 24to August 7 2018, fifteen young adults and sisters of Marie Reparatrice from Spain, France and Ireland will join our SMR community of La Ensenada, to participate in the Casa Betania project, Lima, Peru.  We are eleven young adults and four sisters (maximum 15 participants) who with joyful enthusiasm, desire to make a real difference in the lives of the people we will meet.     

As SMR volunteers, we will live with and share in the life of the sisters and the local community of La Ensenada for the two-week project.  We will work in building and repairing houses for the poor and elderly in the morning and visit the house-bound elderly and work with the children / young people of the Casa Betania project, in the afternoon.  Each evening, we will reflect on the experiences of the day and offer the possibility of sharing times of prayer with the extended community.

We place this project under the protection, guidance and love of Blessed Mary of Jesus, asking her to watch over and guide us on this journey of solidarity.  We ask the support of your prayers for the success of this life-giving and life-altering project.
