I Susan Chepkurui wish to share with you dear Sisters my experience of my entrance to the Novitiate. The 10th April 2022, being a Palm Sunday remains a memorable day for me because this is the day I began my Novitiate stage in the Sisters of Mary Reparatrix, a stage which marks the foundation of Religious life.
It is a day I hope for and I knew that in God’s own time He would make it happen. The preparations I went through in my three days of prayer, silence and reflection accompanied by my formator were so special to me because I learnt how God has been present in each moment of my life even in storms. He continues to call me in the midst of challenges and asks me not to fear for He is always present.
My heart was well prepared for the entrance and this gave me a lot of confidence and a conviction that God is going to journey with me throughout this period. I was filled with so much joy for the gift of our Sisters who really supported and encouraged me. The support I received from our Blessed Emilie Novitiate community was incomparable. It made me more confident and a feeling that I am not alone as I thought. The support and presence of our Sisters from King’ara community was amazing. They all made this day more colorful.
The congratulatory messages from our Sisters all over portrayed the unity of the SMR throughout the world. I am very grateful to God for allowing me to experience His love in the SMR congregation as I continue to discern His will in my life. I thank the congregation for giving me a chance to experience the Charism of Reparation with Mary. I do not take this opportunity for granted. I am grateful that I got a chance to live in a so caring and loving family of Blessed Emilie.
Thank you for your continuous prayers and support. May God bless us all.
