PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY DOOR GENERAL LEVEL
2025-09-26Today, 25 September, the sisters of the general level and Sister Carmen García went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican in Rome.
As we begin our service in Rome, we wanted to make a pilgrimage together to the Holy Door, placing our lives and this service in the hands of the Lord. We kept the entire congregation very much in mind, as well as the reality of our world.
For us, it has been an experience of God, who strengthens us, accompanies us, and invites us to serve the congregation with humility and fidelity. We share with you the prayer we recited as we walked towards the Holy Door. We feel that it is a way of living in communion with all the sisters.
PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY DOOR GENERAL LEVEL
We come as pilgrims of hope at the beginning of our term of office as the general level at the service of the congregation. And I invite you to begin this journey towards the Holy Door, allowing the attitudes with which we wish to live these six years to spring forth in our hearts.
- To be a pilgrim is to walk barefoot many times, without security, the only security being God.
- To be a pilgrim is to walk with confidence placed in this God who walks beside us and in the congregation.
- We want to be serving the congregation, each sister individually, and the processes to which the Spirit invites us as a congregation.
- Walking humbly, knowing that we are vulnerable and fragile.
- Walking with others, listening, welcoming, risking our word.
- We are grateful for the trust that the congregation has placed in us to accompany it during these years.
VISION. OUR COMMON VISION FOR THE FUTURE:
To walk together, we need to rely on a common vision
and refer to it wherever we
we find ourselves.
We are a small and fragile apostolic body, and without
however...
● A Body that is revitalised by focusing ever more
more on Jesus Christ and his Paschal mystery.
● A Body inhabited by the Charism of Emilia and the
First Companions, Reparation with Mary,
nourished by Ignatian spirituality; a Body
Eucharistic Body that shares, inspired by Universal Love
in simplicity, like Mary.
● A Body that seeks to have simple structures in order to
live in dialogue, in communion and in a synodal manner;
● A Body that is available, that takes risks to
seek and find the greater good; a Body that grows
in inner freedom and discernment;
● A Body that renews its missionary spirit; a Body
with apostolic priorities to respond to the
calls of today's reality based on the values of the
Gospel;
● A Body that desires to live, in collaboration, in
a restorative family; a Body that reflects a
joyful face.
AS WE PASS THROUGH THE HOLY DOOR, we will carry in our hearts all the sisters of the congregation, each of the entities, to whom we are indebted.
