We are pleased to announce the result of the election of the new Superior General of the Congregation:
Sister Rosa Maria VIZCAY OLORIZ was elected on Monday 12 May 2025 for a term of six years.
We are deeply grateful to her for accepting this service and we accompany her with our prayers.
On Wednesday 14 May, the following four General Councillors were elected by the General Chapter to assist Sr. Rosa Vizcay in the supervision of the communities and missions of the congregation:
– Sister Julie Rosemary Buckley, Irish. She was already a member of the previous General Council
– Sister Agnes Manga Mwakazi, Kenyan. She was previously Superior of her region.
– Sister Marie Lucianie Guillaume, from Mauritius. Until now, she was the novice mistress of the Congregation.
– Sister Maria Guadalupe Chavarria Montealvo, Mexican, better known as ‘Lupita’. Until now, she was in charge of our Guatemalan community.
We warmly congratulate them and look forward to the next six years we will spend together.
We would like to take this opportunity to warmly thank Sr. Aurora Torres Hernandez, who has been our Superior General for 12 years. A big thank you also to the General Councillors – and in particular to Sr. Antonett Chebet Simiyu who is ending her service on the General Council – who have accompanied Sr. Aurora and supported her with faith and deep dedication during the term of office that has just ended.
